How To Be Confident
Having confidence allows you to excel in all aspects of life - in love relationships, friendships and at work. Nobody is perfect, we have all have weaknesses but also lots of strengths and focusing on our strengths allows us to become confident and reap the benefits.
Here are 7 ways of how to be confident:
- Make a list of your strengths - Write down anything that you are good at, it can include absolutely anything from a particular sport to staying calm in stressful situations. When you put a new point always put a little sentence as well EG very patient, I'm able to wait for good things without getting annoyed. Focus on your strengths and your confidence will build.
- Take care of yourself - Having good skin, trimmed facial hair, nicely styled hair and cut nails can massively boost your confidence. Beauty products like moisturisers, face washes, hair wax/gel/spray all cost a few pounds each. If you want to shift a bit of weight then get on a diet. Women love a well groomed man and men love a girl who looks after herself. Take care of yourself and start to feel much better instantly.
- Find your passion or hobby - Find your passion and follow it. Progressing in your hobby, even if it is stamp collecting gives a sense of achievement and you are doing what you enjoy. It also gives you something to talk about with new people you meet!
- Focus on others when you are out - Try to forget how you are coming across to others, focus on having a good time and just enjoying the moment. Your confidence will build and the rest will naturally flow.
- Accept compliments - Don't shrug off when people say nice things about you, respond positively with a nice smile and say "thanks". Compliments should make you feel great.
- Be seen, be heard - Don't be a loud mouth but do put your point across and speak up when you feel strongly about something. This gives you respect of peers which will build your confidence.
- Have a role model - There is someone we would all like to be more like, get yourself a role model and list what you like about them and how you can gain their attributes. If your role model is a celebrity keep track of them in the media when possible. Focus on your role models qualities and work towards aquiring them.
